Sonya's fierce passion for beauty and the ultimate guest experience is translated through each detail of Eye Love Beauty. Beyond her gorgeous, detailed work on faces, she aims to make every treatment a healing experience for the guest with a goal of them leaving better and happier than when they came in - in all areas of life. As Sonya works her magic to glamorize the exterior, she also takes the time to make a personal connection that creates a safe space for each guest to unload what’s on their mind without judgment. She is bursting with positive energy, and her good vibes are contagious within the time spent in her chair.
A specialist with over 20 years experience in the beauty industry, Sonya is a licensed cosmetologist, multiple certified Master Aesthetician, Master Lash & Volume Lash Artist and seasoned educator. She was a Master Volume Lash Conference Award winner in both 2020 and 2021.
Along with the tools in her beauty belt, Sonya also completed NLP certification for Life and Business coaching as well as a Women’s Entrepreneurship program at Cornell and most recently an Entrepreneurship program at FSU JMI.
She has been a featured expert in publications such as The Colorist, OK! Magazine, Parade Magazine, and Modern Salon. Sonya continues to study, learn and train in order to bring the most advanced treatments and service to her guests.
Sonya brings her extensive knowledge of the industry to other estheticians and cosmetologists at Eye Love Beauty Academy where she teaches lessons in brand voice and consistency in addition to the technical side of the business. Unlike regular training which just teaches basic artistry, Sonya is interested in providing resources for budding beauticians and beauty business owners so that they have everything they need to flourish as business owners.
Sonya is a mother and a grandmother, as well as the proud owner of 2 feisty and adorable French Bulldogs. She believes in uplifting people not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spirituality as well. She spends her free time soaking up the Florida sun poolside - but never in the pool as she doesn’t know how to swim! She is always available to bring joy to someone’s day and help them be the Queen of their Castle.
